Hi,

Log5 (y+ 1) - log5 8 = log5 (y- 3) - log5 6

Log5 (y+ 1) - log5 8 - log5 (y- 3) + log5 6 = 0

Log5 6(y+ 1)/8(y-3)= 0

   

    6y + 6 = 8y - 24

         30 = 2y

         15 = y
