Question 830869: The Sum of Two numbers is 44 and their quotient is 3/8. Find the numbers
Answer by Bastian21(2) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let 1st N0# = N
And 2nd NO3 = 44-N
Therefore
N/ (44-N) = 3/8
Cross Multiply we get
8N= 132-3N
8N + 3N = 132
11N =132
N=132/11 =12 is the first Number
Hence,
44-12 = 32 is the 2nd Number
