x + 3y = -15
x - y = 10
------------
Subtract and solve for "y":
4y = -25
y = 6 1/4
----------------
Solve for "x":
x - 6 1/4 = 10

x = 3 3/4

x-y=10 x=10+y

x+3y=-15
10+y+3y=-15
4y=-25
y=-25/4
y=-6.25

x+3*-6.25=-15
x-18.75=-15
x=-15+18.75
x=3.75
--------------
3.75+3*-6.25=-15
3.75-18.75=-15
-15=-15
