Question 826020: Hello. I am having problems with this. And I don't really get it. Needed this As Soon As Possible because school days are coming so very fast.
Mr. Perez invested 4,500 pesos more at 3% than what he invested at 6%. His annual income for the 2 investments is equivalent to a return at 4%of the entire sum. How much did he invest at each rate?
Thank you for solving. May God bless you always :* Good luck. :)

Mr. Perez invested 4,500 pesos more at 3% than what he invested at 6%. His annual income for the 2 investments is equivalent to a return at 4%of the entire sum. How much did he invest at each rate?
------
Quatity:: t = s+4500
Interest: 3t + 6s = 4*4500
-----------------------------
Modify:
3t - 3s = 3*4500
3t + 6s = 4*4500
-----
Subtract and solve for "s":
9s = 4500
s = $500 (amt. invested at 6%)
------
Solve for "t"
t = s + 4500
t = $5000 (amt. invested at 3%)
