Question 787643: find 2 numbers whose sum is 100 and whose difference is 14 .
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + y = 100
x - y = 14
Add both equations
2x = 114
x = 57
Substitute x = 57 in:
x + y = 100
57 + y = 100
y = 100 - 57
y = 43.
Two numbers: 43, 57
Hope this helps.
