Question 777992: solve the system of equations
3x+2y=12
4X-3y=9

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x+2y=12
4X-3y=9
------
Multiply thru the top equation by 3
Multiply thru the bottom equation by 2
----------
9x + 6y = 36
8x - 6y = 18
-------------------
Add and solve for "x";
17x = 54
x = 3.1765
------
Solve for "y":
3x + 2y = 12
3(54/17) + 2y = 12
----------
(108/17) + 2y = (204/17)
2y = 96/17
y = 48/17 = 2.8235
