Question 762446: Find two consecutive even integers such that the sum of three first and three times the second is 8 less than 62

Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First integer = x
Second integer = x + 2
3(x) + 3(x + 2) = 62 - 8
3x + 3x + 6 = 54
6x = 54 - 6
6x = 48
x = 8
First integer = 8
Second integer = 10
Proof:
3(x) + 3(x + 2) = 62 - 8
3(8) + 3(8 + 2) = 54
24 + 30 = 54
Hope this helps.
