 LET X & (X+2) BE THE 2 ODD INTEGERS.
X(X+2)=4(X+X+2)-1
X^2+2X=4(2X+2)-1
X^2+2X=8X+8-1
X^2+2X-8X-7=0
X^2-6X-7=0
(X-7)(X+1=0
X-7=0
X=7 ANS.
7+2=9 ANS.
PROOF:
7*9=4(7+9)-1
63=4*16-1
63=64-1
63=63
X+1=0
X=-1 ANS.
-1+2=1 ANS.
PROOF:
-1*+1=4(-1+1)-1
-1=4*0-1
-1=-1
