X=4Y+4
X/2+8=y/3 now replace x with (4y+4) in this equation & solve for y
(4y+4)/2+8=y/3
2y+2+8=y/3
2y+10=y/3 now cross multiply
3(2y+10)=y
6y+30=y
6y-y=-30
5y=-30
y=-30/5
y=-6 answer. now substitute -6 for y & solve for x n the other equation
x=4*-6+4
x=-24+4
x=-20 answer
proof
-20/2+2=-6/3
-10+8=-2
-2=-2
