Answer by checkley79(3341)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
XY=65 OR X=65/Y
X=2Y+3
65/Y=2Y+3 CROSS MULTIPLY.
Y(2Y+3)=65
2Y*2+3Y=65
2Y^2+3Y-65=0
(2Y+13)(Y-5)=0
Y-5=0
Y=5 ANS.
X=65/5
X=13 ANS.
PROOF:
13=2*5+3
13=10+3
13=13
