This word problem can be represented by this equation
4n + 9 = 1/3n + 31
we subtract 9 from both sides of the equation
4n = 1/3n + 22
we then multiply both sids of the equation by 3
12n = n + 66
subtact n from both sides
11n = 66
and dividing both sides by 11 we get n = 6
