Question 729309: I am a 2-digit number. The sum of my digits is 12. My tens digit is 4 more than my ones digit. What number am I?
Answer by KMST(5328) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
tens digit = ones digit + 4
tens digit + ones digit = 12
ones digit + 4 + ones digit = 12
(ones digit + ones digit) + 4 = 12
(ones digit + ones digit) = 12 - 4
(ones digit + ones digit) = 8
2 X (ones digit) = 8
ones digit = 8 ÷ 2
ones digit = 4
tens digit = ones digit + 4 = 4 + 4 = 8
