Answer by checkley79(3341)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3X+5Y=68 MULTIPLY BY 4
3Y-4X=6 MULTIPLY BY 3 & ADD.
12X+20Y=272
-12X+9Y=18
-----------------
29Y=290
Y=290/29
Y=10 ANS.
3X+5*10=68
3X+50=68
3X=68-50
3X=18
X=18/3
X=6 ANS.
PROOF:
3*10-4*6=6
30-24=6
6=6
