Answer by checkley79(3341)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2X+3X^2=261
3X^2+2X-261=0
(3X+29)(X-9)=0
X-9=0
X=9 ANS.
PROOF:
2*9+3*9^2=261
18+3*81=216
18+243=261
261=261
