t = original number of toys
The equation (note that when he gave away 3/4, he has 1/4 left)
t = t + [*t] + 10
t = t + t + 10
multiply by 12 and cancel the denominators
12t = 3(3t) + 1t + 12(10)
12t = 9t + t + 120
