p = 156 = 2l+2w
Plug length into the second eqution
2(8+6w) + 2w = 156
Distribute the 2
16 + 12w + 2w = 156
Combine like terms
14w = 156 - 16
14w = 140
w = 10 m
l = 6(10)+8= 68 m

2(10) + 2(68) = 20 + 136 = 156
