Two Numbers. x & y
:
the Larger Number Is Twice That Of The Smaller Number.
x = 2y
:
the Product Of The Two Numbers Is Greater Than 70 But Smaller Than 80.
x * y > 70
x * y < 80
:
replace x with 2y
2y * y > 70
2y^2 > 70
and
2y^2 < 80
Divide both sides by 2
y^2 > 35
y^2 < 40
Doesn't take much imagination to see that y = 6, therefore x = 12
:
6 * 12 = 72 which satisfies the requirement
