Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 1/2=5/2 & 4 1/6=25/6
25/6-5/2=(25-3*2)12=(25-6)/12=19/12
3/4*19/12=19*3/4*12=57/48 NOW ADD 57/48 WHICH IS 3/4 OF THE DIFFERENCE TO THE SMALLER NUMBER(5/2) THEN WE HAVE
5/2+57/48=(5*24+57)/48=(120+57)/48=177/48=59/16
