Hi,

the sum of three numbers is 75. 

The second number is 5 more than 4 times the first, and the third is 2 times the first.

first number:  x

second number: 4x+5

third number: 2x

Question states*** sum of these numbers is 75

 x + (4x+5) + 2x = 75

         7x = 70

          x = 10, first number.  Second number is 45.
