LET X & (X+2) ARE THE 2 NUMBERS.
X+(X+2)=12
2X+2=12
2X=12-2
2X=10
X=10/2
X=5 ANS FOR THE SMALLER NUMBER.
5+2=7 ANS. FOR THE LARGER NUMBER.
PROOF:
5+7=12
12=12
