Hi,

3 digit number

hundreds digits is 4 more than the units digit and the tens digit is twice the hundreds digit.

units digit   x   

hundreds digits  (x+4) 

tens digit 2(x+4) 

Question states***sum of the digits is 12

(x+4) + 2(x+4) + x = 12

        4x +12 = 12

          4x = 0

           x = 0
