Samantha has a total of one hundred forty-one pennies, nickels and quarters. She has a total of $15.17. She has 15 more quarters than pennies and fifteen fewer quarters than nickels. How many of each coin does she have?

Let be the number of nickels. Then is the number of quarters, and which is to say is the number of pennies.

Then is the value of the nickels in cents, is the value of the quarters in cents, and is the value of the pennies in cents. The total value, $15.17, can be expressed as 1517 cents, so:
