Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

x^2 -2x = 63
x^2 -2x - 63=0
(x+7)*(x-9)=0
x=9 and x=-7

right setup
you just didnt use the quadratic formula?

-9 and 7
-9 times 7 = -36
-9 plus 7 = -2
so:

x=9,-7
two possible answers
