Question 578381: part A.
Angle A and angle B are complementary. Angle A is 30 degrees less than three
times angle A. Find the measure of angle A and B.
Part b.
The length of a rectangle is 6 ft greater than twice it's width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 228 ft. Find the dimensions of the rectangle. Answer by dfrazzetto(283) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Part A:
Complementary angles add to 90 degrees:
A+B=90
A=3A-30
30 = 2A
A= 15 degrees
B=90-A=90-15=75 degrees
Part B:
For a rectangle:
P= 2L + 2W
L= 2W+6
P = 2(2W+6) + 2W = 228
P = 4W + 12 + 2W = 228
P = 6W + 12 = 228
6W = 228 -12
6W = 216
W= 36
L= 2(36) + 6 = 78
CHECK:
P = 2L + 2W = 2(78) + 2(36) = 156 + 72 = 228 √
