the four digits, a, b, c, d
:
Write an equation or note for each statement
:
My thousands digit is half my ones digit.
a = .5d; means that d is an even number
:
The hundreds digit is odd and divisible by 3.
b = 3 or 9
:
The sum of my hundreds digit, tens digit and ones digit is the same as the sum of my hundreds digit and ones digit.
b + c + d = b + d; means that c=0,
:
The difference between my hundreds digit and ones digit is equal to my thousands digit.
b - d = a
replace a with .5d
b - d = .5d
b = 1.5d
:
If b = 3: d = 2; a = 1; 1302
If b = 9; d = 6; a = 3; 3906
I only get two numbers
