Question 554416: The sum of three consecutive odd integers is greater than 30. What are the least possible values for the integers?
Answer by Maths68(1474)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let
1st Interger = x+1
2nd Interger = x+3
3rd Interger = x+5

Given
The sum of three consecutive odd integers is greater than 30
x+1+x+2+x+3>30
3x+6>30
3x>30-6
3x>24
3x/3>24/3
x>8

1st Interger = x+1 = 8+1 = 9
2nd Interger = x+3 = 8+3 = 11
3rd Interger = x+5 = 8+5 = 13
