Two consecutive odd numbers can be defined as: x and x+2.
(x+2)^2 - x^2 = 64
x^2 +4x + 4 -x^2 = 64
4x = 60
x = 15
x + 2 = 17
Check
17^2 = 289
15^2 = 225
289-225 = 64
Correct.
.
Answer: The two numbers are 15 and 17.

Done.
