Question 52650: Find 3 consecutive odd integers such that the sum of the smallest and 4 times the largest is 61

Let the smallest number be = x
So the next big number = x+2
And the largest number = x+4
x + 4(x+4) = 61
x + 4x + 16 = 61
5x + 16 = 61
5x = 61-16 = 45
So x = 45/5 = 9
Therefore, the numbers are 9, 11 and 13. Answer.
