This forms a right triangle, we can solve with: c^2 = a^2 + b^2
where
a = 10
b = 15
c = the additional height of the flag pole above the break
:
c^2 = 10^2 + 15^2
c^2 = 100 + 225
c =
c = 18.03 ft
therefore the height of the flagpole: 18.03 + 10 = 28.03 ft
