a pentagon has 5 angles
it says the degrees are consecutive even integers

so
x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)+(x+8)=sum of all angles

x+x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8=sum of all angles
5x+20=sum of all angles

we know that the sum of all of a pentagon's angles is 540 [it said so]:

5x+20=540   divide both sides by 5
x+4=108     minus 4 on both sides
x=104

but it wants the biggest side, which is (x+8), or 104+8=112. there's your answer!
