Question 501593: The total cost of a sandwich, a glass of milk, and an apple is $2.35 What was the price of each, if the sandwich cost twice as much as the milk and the apple cost 90 cents less than the sandwich?
Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
s=cost of the sandwich.
m=s/2
a=s-.9
s + s/2 + s-.9 = 2.35
2s+s+2s-1.8=4.7 Multiply each side by 2.
5s-1.8=4.7
5s=6.5
s=$1.30
m=$.65
a=$.40
