You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Adding the same number to both the numerator and the denominator of a fraction does not change the fraction's value?
:
Let's see if that's possible
:
Let the fraction be 3%2F4
let x = the number added to num and den
:
%28x%2B3%29%2F%28x%2B4%29 = 3%2F4
Cross multiply
4(x+3) = 3(x+4)
4x + 12 = 3x + 12
4x - 3x = 12 - 12
x = 0, is the only number for this to be true
