The problem is "In one year twice as many trees in a certain forest of 5000 trees were destroyed by fire as were felled by disease. At the end of the year only 3200 healthy trees remained. How many trees were destroyed by FIRE?"

2 disease=fire
f=2d
2d+d=5000-3200
3d=1800
d=600
600 trees were felled by disease. Fire=2 disease=2x600=1200 trees were felled by fire..
