Let x be the first score result.
x+1 is the second score result.
x+2 is the third score result.
Adding these together we know gives 240.
x+x+1+x+2 =240
Collect the x's together.
3x+3 = 240
3x=237
x=237/3
x=79
So the scores are 79, 80 and 81.
