Question 448143: a wall is 10 feet high and 14 feet long. there is a window set into the wall that is 5 feet high and 3 feet wide. If a 1 quart of paint covers 20 square feet, how many quarts of paint are needed to cover this wall?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hint: Find the area of the wall and the area of the window. Now subtract the area of the window from the area of the wall to find the area of the actual painting surface (since you're not going to paint the window).
