Answer by oberobic(2304)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The fence will define the perimeter of the rectangle.
P = 2*width + 2*length
P = 150
We're told
l = 2w
150 = 2w + 2l
Substituting
150 = 2w + 2(2w)
150 = 2w + 4w
150 = 6w
6w = 150
w = 25
l = 2w
l = 50
.
Always check your answer!
2(25) + 2(50) = 150??
50 + 100 = 150
Checks.
.
Answer: The kennel's dimensions should be 50 feet long by 25 feet wide.

Done.
