Question 433377: the sum of five consecutive numbers is 190.what is the sum of the largest and the smallest numbers
Answer by belle3833(46) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the first number be x so all the consecutive numbers are:
x,x+1,x+2,x+3,x+4
The sum of these:
x+x+1+x++,x+3+x+4=190
5x+10=190
5x=180
x=36
so your first number (x)=36,
your consecutive numbers are
36 37 38 39 40
the sum of the smallest and largest numbers is 36+40=76
Hope this helps otherwise please message me :-)
