When two times the square of a number is decreased by seven times the same number, the result is 15. Find the number.
----
Equation:
2x^2-7x = 15
----
2x^2-7x-15 = 0
---
Factor:
2x^2-10x+3x-15 = 0
2x(x-5)+3(x-5) = 0
(x-5)(2x+3) = 0
x = 5 or x = -3/2
