can you please show your work? because i want to know how to do it
THANK YOU^^
Answer by checkley79(3341) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X=Y-3
X^2=10(Y-3)+9
(Y-3)^2=10Y-30+9
Y^2-6Y+9=10Y-21
Y^2-6Y-10Y+9+21=0
Y^2-16Y+30=0
Y=(16+-SQRT[-16^2-4*1*30])/2*1
Y=(16+-SQRT[256-120])/2
Y=(16+-SQRT136)/2
Y=(16+-11.66)/2
Y=(16+11.66)/2
Y=27.66/2
Y=13.83 ANS.
Y=(16-11.66)/2
Y=4.34/2
Y=2.17 ANS.
