Let x and (2x-5) represent the integers

Question states***

   x(2x-5)=12

  2x^2-5x-12 = 0

factoring

 (2x+3)(x-4)=0 |Note:SUM of the inner product(3x) and the outer product(-8x) = -5x

 (2x+3) = 0   Tossing out fractional answer

 (x-4)=0  x = 4  the Integers are 4 and 3
