legs equation: 4w + 2h = 296

Multiply thru the 1st by 2 to get:
2w + 2h = 200
4w + 2h = 296
----
Subtract and solve for "w':
2w = 96
w = 48 (# of cows)

100-48 = 52 (# of chickens)
