Hi
two numbers give you a sum of 22
Let x and (22-x) represent the numbers
Question states***
x(22-x) = -720
x^2 - 22x-720 = 0
factoring
( x-40)(x+18) = 0
( x-40)= 0
x = 40
(x+18) = 0
x = -18 Numbers are -18 and 40
