Let x, (x+1),(x+2),(x+3) represent the 4 consecutive numbers

Question states***

x + (x+1)+(x+2)+(x+3)=1000

Solving for x

     4x = 994

      x = 248.5. The 4 consecutive numbers  are 248.5,249.5,250.5,251.5
