Hey,
So for this one you need to write two equations:
2NHL + 2NBA = 153.92
1NHL = 4.32 + 1NBA
You can substitute 4.32 + 1NBA for 1NHL in the first equation:
2(4.32 + 1NBA) + 2NBA= 153.92 => 8.64 + 2NBA + 2NBA = 153.92
Simplified: 8.64 + 4NBA = 153.92
Then you subtract 8.64 from both sides and get:
4NBA = 145.28
Then divide both sides by 4 and you get: 1NBA = 36.32
Since 1 NHL ticket is 4.32 more than 1 NBA ticket:
1NHL = 36.32 + 4.32 = 40.64
So:
1 NHL ticket costs 40.64
1 NBA ticket costs 36.32
I hope this helps!
