Question 399936: if three times a number is added to twice the same number the result is the same of thrice a number and 10
Answer by ptaylor(2198)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 Let x=the number
3x=three time the number (same as thrice the number)
2x=twice the same number
When added together we get 2x+3x=5x
Now we are told that:
5x=3x+10 subtract 3x from both sides
5x-3x=3x-3x+10
2x=10
x=5-------------------the number
CK
2*5+3*5=3.5+10
10+15=15+10
25=25
Hope this helps---ptaylor
