Hi,
Let x and (x+14) represent the numbers
Write as we Read***
x +(x+14) - 9 = 11
Solving for x
2x + 5 = 11
2x = 6
x = 3, one of the numbers. The other number is 17. (.+14)
CHECKING our Answer
3 + 17 - 9 = 11
