Question 362286: find 3 consecutive integers that twice the middle number is 1 less than 3 times the largest number. Thank you!
Answer by dlh(17) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First you set it up in an equation.
(x)(x+1)(x+2)=0
Then plug in terms.
2(x+1)+1=3(x+2)
Simplify
2x+2+1=3x+6
2x+3=3x+6
3=x+6
-3=x
x=-3
Then you plug that into the first equation and your numbers are
-3,-2,-1
