Question 358628: The sum of three times the smaller of two consecutive odd integers and four times the larger is 113. Find the two integers.
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x+4(x+2)=113
3x+4x+8=113
7x=113-8
7x=105
x=105/7
x=15 ans. for the small integer.
15+2=17 ans. for the larger integer.
Proof:
3*15+4*17=105
45+68=105
105=105
