Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the number be x
other number = 2x+10
x(2x+10)= 600
2x^2+10x-600=0
x^2+5x-300=0
x^2+20x-15x-300=0
x(x+20)-15(x+20)=0
(x-15)(x+20)=0
x=15 OR x =-20
...
the numbers are 15 & 40
