Question 343379: a)Solve
b) write the solution set in set-builder notation
c) write the solution set in interval notation
d) graph the solution set
1/2(3x-1)<=1/5(6x-7)
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a)Solve 1/2(3x-1)<=1/5(6x-7)
Multiply both sides by 10 to get:
5(3x-1) <= 2(6x-7)
15x-5 <= 12x-14
3x <= -9
x <= -3
----------------------
b) write the solution set in set-builder notation
{x | x<= -3}
-----------------------
c) write the solution set in interval notation
(-inf,-3]
---------------------
d) graph the solution set
You'll have to do that on a number line.
